Sony has plans to be ambitious for its next generation of hardware for virtual reality and plans two million of its PSVR 2 headset ready by March next year.

With the PS5 continuing to be very popular due to its low availability since it was launched in November of 2020, Sony also plans to increase the number of consoles on shelves by the beginning of 2023, according Bloomberg's sources.
PSVR 2 isn't set to be announced beyond 2023, but Sony is working to ensure that there's enough PS5 consoles for gamers to play games with the new headset. The hardware is only compatible with PS5 and won't be compatible with backwards-compatible PSVR games.
What is known about the hardware is that it comes with some beastly specifications. Similar to its predecessor, the PS5 as well as its DualSense controller, Sony included haptic feedback as well as adaptive triggers, eye-tracking, inside-out tracking as well as 3D sound into its kit, however, it's not yet released an official retail price.
